Hi,

When an already registered member (subscriber) goes on a level 2 permissioned file they get redirected to the register page. I would like them to be redirected to the membership options so they can purchase a membership?page like its say in the instructions? can you help?

http://Www.classroomsecret.co.uk

So in summary, what I need is:

User registers with the site as a free member:
http://www.classroomsecrets.co.uk/wp-login.php?action=register
They get an email with username and password
They log onto the site
http://www.classroomsecrets.co.uk/wp-login.php
They get redirected to:
http://www.classroomsecrets.co.uk/welcome/
at this stage they are a subscriber

—All good so far —

but

They go to a page where you need s2 level 2 and currently it redirects to the register page where I need it to go to
http://www.classroomsecrets.co.uk/membership-subscription-options/

according to the S2 info this should work how I want it?

Thank you for reporting this important issue.

And thank you for your patience over the weekend.

I’m looking at your site and I can get s2Member to redirect to the Membership Options Page when I attempt to access your Login Welcome Page (/welcome/). So it looks like it you have it set up correctly. Do you think we could take a look? You can send a WordPress Administrator Dashboard login here:

s2Member® » Private Contact Form

Please post here when you’ve done that. Thanks!

Hi,

Their are two options:

You can either go through the process as described:

User registers with the site as a free member:
http://www.classroomsecrets.co.uk/wp-login.php?action=register
They get an email with username and password
They log onto the site
http://www.classroomsecrets.co.uk/wp-login.php
They get redirected to:
http://www.classroomsecrets.co.uk/welcome/
at this stage they are a subscriber

or use the user

testlevel1
p/w: level1

once logged in try clicking on the following:
http://www.classroomsecrets.co.uk/improving-sentences-set-a/

as this is a level 2 resource the s2 member plugin should take you to the membership option page currently it takes you to the register page of which I have already registered?

I just attempted this and I got to the Improving Sentences page without being redirected:

Did you already fix the issue, or am I missing it? Sorry for the inconvenience if I am.

I see that it is redirecting to the register link now, however this download link isn’t going to the s2Member files. It looks like it was either protected via URI Restrictions or a developer set up the restriction manually, because it’s not redirecting to your Membership Options Page.

Could you try using the standard s2Member Downloads linkage? You can upload the file to your /s2member-files/ directory, and use the linkage provided here to do that:

Dashboard -› s2Member® -› Download Options -› Basic Download Restrictions

Hi, we have uploaded over 200 pdfs through wp-filebase which uses the wordpress permission stack, one of which is the s2 member Level 2 permission.

The pdf you clicked on uses this as it permission and does actually work if you are a s2 member level 2, however if your not and as you have found out it redirects you to the register page, this is going to cause an issue if I have to re-upload all the files in s2 member? can you look into this

I’m afraid I don’t know anything about the WP Filebase plugin. I can tell you that whatever protections you’re using on the files is not being done with s2Member. The redirect that’s being done is being done through WP Filebase. You’ll have to check the settings for that, or check with the developers on how you can change the URL it redirects to.

Sorry about that.
