Membership Option Page

I could use a little advice on this one.

I would like the “welcome page” that the site is re-directed to threw s2member to load faster. I used the membership options page to be the page that non-members would see instead of paying. I won’t be including payment options for a bit.

So the url for the redirect is extremely long. I assume because of calls to the API or something or another. Is there anyway to shorten this process to get a faster load time? Or a work around?

Can I restrict access to people that aren’t level zero to this page another way?

I believe there is no way to shorten the URL, I think the few people I’ve seen do it, have actually come up with a messed up page/URL.

The only way I can think of for restricting access to it is by using conditonals, and saying something like you don’t have access to this page.
