I have an existing site on a remote host. I have built a new WP site on the sub-directory at /wordpress. I am going to want to migrate the new site to either the root directory or to point the site to the sub-directory invisibly as described at: http://codex.wordpress.org/Giving_WordPress_Its_Own_Directory “Using a pre-existing subdirectory install” In addition, I plan to change my domain name at the same host at the same time and to re-direct previous traffic to the new domain. Currently, I have configured a new subscription-based site in the /wordpress directory utilizing the free version of S2Member. I have no problem upgrading and paying for Pro if it is necessary or advantageous. On my first attempt using information at the about URL, essentially everything broke including the S2Member plugin. None of the Level 1 Subscriber plugins were protected and the plugin within Admin was totally different. Could someone help with a list of procedures for making the changes outlined above? Thanks |
