Modifying the HTML text from Login Widget

Okay,

I am trying to change the HTML text output from the Login Widget that says “My Profile Summary” to “Profile” and “Memebership Login” to “Login.”

so I tried first the add_filter functino
and could not get it to work (couldn’t really understand how)

So,
tried the quick and dirty method
of uploading a modified login-widget.inc.php into the mu plugin directory
with those function values changed in the uploaded file

Even tried deleting (and not) the old file in the plugins directory

But neither of those worked.

Please help.

Please ignore the above support request. I found that the basic functionality allows to change those parameters.
