Need some registration form fields hidden

Hi – I want my members to be able to edit fields in their profile
that are not displayed on the registration form.

In other words, the form is too long to ask them to fill it all out to register.
But once they are logged in I will ask them to continue to fill out the rest of their profile fields.

Surely there is a simple way to do this ?
I am not using pro but I am happy to buy it if it provides thei otherwise missing functionality ?

Would it be easier to do it this way…
I have made some registration fields require Level 1 or above membership
so they do not now appear on the free level 0 registration page.
Is it possible to auto-upgrade members to level 1
the first time they log in to their members area ?
That would solve the problem as the other profile fields would then appear.

You’ll have to brew a little hack to do this.

I will have a developer look into it.
I think this would be good core functionality to have in the pro version of s2member at least…
being able to have fields that dont appear in the registration form
but do appear in edit profile.

Yeah I believe this’ll be in the next generation of s2Member. I’ll mention it to Jason though. :)
