I am new to S2Member and am in the process of setting up a new website. While I have a standard price that I intend to charge, I will probably be offering special, negotiated prices to some users, each one on a one-off basis.
So if my annual subscription price is $1,000 and I want to let one customer have it for $600 and another for $750, how do I do that without revealing to all users that I made those reduced prices available to special customers?

Hello Bill,

One thing you could do is make special posts/pages with those buttons and protect those pages with specific post/page access, which you can find under Dashboard -› s2Member® -› Restriction Options -› Specific Post/Page Access Restrictions.

Once you do that, inside those posts/pages you would put the different special buttons, there would be one page for each button.

And then you just give it to your special customers generating links so that they can access those specific posts/pages without paying. You would generate these links under Dashboard -› s2Member® -› PayPal® Buttons -› Specific Post/Page Access Links.

Eduan,
Thanks for your (really quick) response. Again, I’m completely new to S2Member and WordPress, so maybe I’m missing something basic. My website has maybe 2,300 unique pages. I’m not sure if there’s a way to programmatically make special posts/pages with those buttons and protect all 2,300 pages with specific post/page access.

Also, would other subscribers see the buttons used to offer certain users a discount? If so, everybody will want the lower price?
Is there a way I could reveal those discount buttons to only the people I want to extend the offers to?

Hmm… I’m afraid that to use this method I’m giving you you would have to generate each page/post with a special button yourself, and also protect it and offer your customers the links.

And no, users to which you don’t give them the specially generated links would not have access to these posts/pages. :)
