Hi,

I am a very new developer using s2 member plugin. I have integrated the s2 member plugin on my client’s site. There is only one registration level, hence only one paypal button.

My client says one user has registered, and he has also received the payment made. But he says he does not see the new member.

My query is, when anyone registers:
1) Will my client get a notification that someone has registered?
2) In the WordPress backend, will my client be able to see the newly registered user?
3) Is there any way of checking on new users?

Thanks in advance!

Hello Supreet,

1) Will my client get a notification that someone has registered?

Not by default, however you can configure this under Dashboard -› s2Member® -› API / Notifications -› Registration Notifications.

2) In the WordPress backend, will my client be able to see the newly registered user?

Yes, but he will need to find them. He can do so under WP Dasboard -> Users -> All Users -> [Username]. You can’t access the user directly, you gotta find the user you’re looking for, manually.

3) Is there any way of checking on new users?

As said above, only if you know the new user’s username.

Thanks for the answers Eduan. I am getting a better hang of the plugin now, having watched it work as well as the documentation.

I am using the solution you provided about using Dashboard -› s2Member® -› API / Notifications -› Registration Notifications. for configuring notifications on registration.

However, I face another issue. A user has made the payment through Paypal, but he hasn’t registered after making the payment. This of course means, he is not registered on the site. Isn’t there a way to automatically redirect back to the site after making the payment so that a user can complete the registration. I stand to lose users because of this, as they assume making the payment provides them with the access.

Also, is there a way to provide an onclick or onsubmit javascript function to the Paypal button?

Regards

I can understand your problem. I’m afraid without the pro version you’re gonna have to implement this manually, although since the user is being sent an email you can tell him there that, or you could maybe you could implement my own hack to login them automatically… http://eduantech.com/2012/09/auto-login-after-registration/

Not with the shortcode as far as I’m aware, unless you know the name of the ID of the image or something like that. You can use the HTML version of the button but it’s not recommended.

Hope this helps. :)
