I’m trying to setup s2member to require login or registration for a page; however no login or registration box or form shows up for the restricted page. What’s am I missing? This is WordPress 3.2.2.

I’ve installed s2member, setup a “Login” page, and a “My Membership Options Page”; both published.

I setup “Open Registration” to “Yes allow open registration; free subscription at level 0”.

I’ve set a page to have “Restriction Level #0 or higher”.

When I navigate to the restricted page in a browser where I’m not logged in, all I get is the page title “My Membership Options Page”, and no login or registration form.

Hello Adam,
have you populated the membership options page with the registration form?

The membership options page is only full when you fill it, it isn’t pre-filled by s2Member.

Hope this helps. :)

Hi Eduan, thank you for the response. What do you mean populate, how / where is it done? I thought the default settings in the s2member “General” would auto populate my blank “Login” & “My Membership Options” pages.

My problem exactly Adam, from what I read and understand I also have the idea that those pages should be filled with content automatically. I cannot find anywhere how to fill those pages. At least your question got a reaction, I still have to wait for somebody to answer my Q. So I think I will follow your thread now, maybe then I get an answer.

What I don’t understand, or am not getting is… Are there shortcodes we need to add to our “membership options page” that we created in WP, or do we have to do some backend php in the functions file or a page template etc… to get the login / registration forms to show?

Adam,
From what I now understand is that these shortcodes are only available if youo buy the Pro version (I did that).
These shortcodes can be found under the paypal pro forms.
Apart from the fact that it solves this problem the pro version gives you several other options as well. (like a login form that disappears automagically once you are logged in.)

Hi,

@boudewijn lutgerink

this is not quite correct regarding the Login form using the free plugin. Please check out this video tutorial for a better understanding:

Regarding the “Registration Form” you are right. Only available through the Paypal Pro forms.

Hope this helps. ;)

@keyhanjun

I am not 100% certain what you mean by “this is not quite correct regarding the Login form using the free plugin”.

For clarity in the communication I will rephrase here. What I do say is that the login form from the pro version (the widget) disappears once a user is logged in.
