I just installed User Role Editor but none of the features are appearing. I believe that I have done something wrong because I cannot install new plugins either – I seem to be set at a lower function even though I am the Super Admin.

I suggest you post this in the plugin, User Role Editor’s forums. This is a forum for s2Member problems/questions specifically.
