Here’s my test subscribe form: http://www.heatherspriggs.com/account/subscribe-test/

I fill out the fields, then click Checkout with PayPal, and then…. nothing. What gives? Please help.

Hi David, thanks for your inquiry!

It looks like it could be a problem with the JavaScript on your site.

Are you running any caching plugins?
– It’s possible that you could be having problems with the way the caching program is handling the JavaScript for the form. Could you try disabling the plugin if you have one, and seeing if it works then?
– If it is the caching plugin, you can try QuickCache instead. It’s made my WebSharks, Inc. and works perfectly with s2Member.

Do you have any custom JavaScript running through the forms?
– If you do, try disabling it.

If no to both of those, can you try reverting to Twenty-Eleven and seeing if it works with that installed?
– This is the most likely cause of the problem.

Thanks, and let me know if you get the problem fixed.

Thanks Bruce, the theme was definitely the problem. I activated the Theme Test Drive plugin and was able to submit the form.

However now I’ve stumbled onto a new problem – my account was not created. After clicking checkout I was brought to PayPal to set up my recurring payment. I entered my password and approved the transaction and was redirected back to the site. But I didn’t receive a confirmation email, and my PayPal account wasn’t charged.

Here’s the IPN log:

Hi David.

Could you post the entries from the other log files for this transactions too, please?

Thanks!

Hi Cristian, sorry where do I find the other log files? I only made 1 test transaction so far btw

They would all be there in the s2member-logs directory. Normally more than one log file gets generated.

Hi this is David responding from a different account (my support license was transferred to this account).

Here is my entire s2member-logs directory (minus the .htaccess file). I’ve only made 1 transaction so far.

Hmm… The log entries are really quite empty. I wonder if the theme plugin you tried in these tests caused a problem.

Is there no way for you to change to the default theme to test this? If it works differently then, we’ll know the theme or theme changer plugin, are causing trouble.

There’s a plugin that lets you change the theme on a specific page, which may be another thing to try. http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/page-theme/
