in short, i am trying to use the s2 paypal button generator and when i carefully copy/paste the shortcode on my page, on the front end the button is missing. When I inspect the code I can see that the form was generated and an encrypted action URL, so I know the short code is doing something… just not sure what. I tried the

plugin… i tried the PHP execution plugin and placing inside an echo do_shortcode… i tried placing on a different page without any other shortcodes just to make sure that wasn’t an issue.

Here is the code generated by the shortcode on the front end. Notice some syntax errors after the “END PKCS7”, i wonder if there is an issue with my installation of s2 with parsing the shortcode…? Also the why would the image input type=HIDDEN?

Any help would be much appreciated!!!

Hello rockstar47,

So basically the problem is the shortcode is not working correctly right?

If so, then I suggest you run a compatibility test, simply change your theme back to the default one (TwentyEleven) and see if that fixes it.

Also, run a plugin test, simply disable all your plugins except s2Member, if the problems stop then you can be sure another plugin is doing something to the shortcode.

Hope this helps. :)

Looks like it is indeed the theme causing issues (ProMotion). I thought I tested that but I guess I only did the plugins. Thanks for the reminder.

Any suggestions on getting the two compatible? I really need both of you for this site to work as intended! haha.

The only suggestions I can offer in this case are two:

  1. Get a new theme that is coded correctly.
  2. Or, hire a developer or a freelancer to find the inconsistency and fix it in your theme.

I honestly believe the first option will be your safest bet, since if the theme updates, you will have to find that inconsistency again.

Hope this helps. :)
