In my site (www.clubedasvendas.com) I´m selling a product using the PayPal Specific Post/page buy now buttons. The product is accessed (content installed in 3 protected pages) after the client pays through paypal. The paypal button was generated in S2member giving authorization to the 3 protected pages.

Globally everything works fine except for the fact that some clients (40%) report problems in accessing the protected pages. The problems reported by the clients are:
– error 404 – not found (this is the main error)
– 503: Service Temporarily UnavailableToo many IP addresses accessing one secure area!

The way I managed to overcome these issues was simply to generate Specific Post/Page Links in the Specific Post/Page Link Generator .

What I don´t understand is why some customers had no problem in accessing the protected pages and others had problems. Also don’t understand why simply generating a new link the above issues were resolved.

I’m going to launch a new campaign and would not like to experience these problems.

What should I do to overcome these problems?

Thanks
Paulo

Thank you for reporting this important issue.

I’m very sorry for the delay in response.

I can tell you that this error is expected in some situations. s2Member’s Specific Post/Page Access uses your setup you have here in your Dashboard to try to prevent Users from sharing links:

Dashboard -› s2Member® -› Restriction Options -› Unique IP Access Restrictions

However, for your 404s, I can’t say I know what the issue is there. s2Member should redirect to the Membership Options Page if a User cannot access a protected Post/Page. Can you post an example of a link that is throwing a 404 error?

Switching to S2member pro I made some changes in my configurations and right now this is no longer an issue.
Thank you for your response.
