I’m using the long format (html) for my paypal button because I need to change the entire output for the button itself to be an actual submit button with no image (i.e.

My question is if using the html version of the button, how do I get the success attribute to work? I’ve tried

but this doesn’t work at all.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

If you’d like to accomplish this, I’d recommend instead using the output attribute, rather than creating a regular PayPal button.

From the docs
(Dashboard -› s2Member® -› PayPal® Buttons -› Shortcode Attributes (Explained)):

output=”button” Output Type. Possible values: button = PayPal® Button w/hidden inputs, anchor = PayPal® Button ( <a> anchor tag ) URL w/ ?query string, url = raw URL w/ ?query string.

You can wrap your link/custom button with this URL as a link, rather than custom generating this. This should allow you to set the success URL easier.
