'please select a contact list'?

Hi all, I have a client that has provided me with the S2Member Pro plugin for their site and have installed and I believe configured it correctly. I am only using S2Member membership level 1, which is a subscription at $10/month. The Paypal stuff is all set up properly and I can submit payment via paypal and am then redirected to the site’s “Register” page, where I’m prompted to create a username and provide my first and last name. There is also a checkbox with the message “a password will be mailed to you” next to it. Filling out this form and submitting it causes the page to reload with a red message at the top of the page that says “Please select a contact list”. I can not proceed with registering the user account even though I have processed the payment via paypal, and don’t see any reference to this contact list in the S2Member admin pages or in the documentation. Can someone let me know what’s going on? Thanks for any help.

This problem is not caused by s2Member. s2Member does NOT add a contact list or something like that.

Only if you made a custom field and you made it required and you made it hidden, only then would this happen, although I’m not sure that’s possible.
