I currently use the free version of S2 Member and I have found it really simple and helpful to achieve my initial aims.

I am now looking at upgrading to the Pro version but have a question reference pro forms.

I would like to add a password protected page on the website which I then using a shortcode ‘add a custom registration form’ that would enable a few selected members when accessing that page the ability to add new users using this form. Only basic information needed on the form:

first name
last name
email address
their role (s2memberlevel)
custom capabilities

Thanks,

Geach.

Thank you for your inquiry.

If you’re looking for a simplistic way to do this, the best way to do this would be to just have Users create a whole account for these Users by putting up a Free Registration Pro Form with s2Member Pro. Otherwise you can use s2Member’s Remote Operations API to create a form that will create a User exactly the way you want.

Hi Bruce,

Thanks for the response and I will look at upgrading to Pro to test this out tomorrow.

I have a quick question about upgrading. I am currently using S2 Member on a single site but I am toying with the idea of setting up multi-site and wanted to know for dev purposes do I need to upgrade to the multi-site S2 Member Pro immediately or can I test multi-site on our dev site using S2 Member Pro Single Site?

If decided to go ahead with multi-site then of course would upgrade to that licence.

Thanks,

Phil

You can put s2Member on your development environment, then move it over to your live environment afterwards without buying an unlimited-site license. A single-site license is find for a Multisite installation.

Thanks Bruce.

I have upgraded to the unlimited site licence already as thought needed for multi-site installation but happy to do so as this plugin has really made a difference for me.

Cheers,

Geach
