We are getting errors for some signups that seem to be from the CURL connection timing out, but I can’t find any other cause or problem.

The error displayed is “Error. Please contact Support for assistance.”

The HTTP log response is:

  'response' =>
  WP_Error::__set_state(array(
     'errors' =>
    array (
      'http_request_failed' =>
      array (
        0 => 'Operation timed out after 20000 milliseconds with 0 bytes received',
      ),
    ),
     'error_data' =>
    array (
    ),
  )),

I’ve tested the payment form on this page http://boarddirection.com.au/test-payment/ in Chrome, Firefox and Safari. It worked in Firefox, it didn’t work in Chrome in regular browsing or Incognito, it worked in Safari Private Browsing, but not regular. I don’t think there’s anything in the private browsing tests, only that the timeout happens sometimes and not others. I noticed in the logs some users get errors and some don’t, I think some users get errors and try again and get through.

The test form is set to $0.01 so try it out if you want. I get other errors in sandbox mode, possibly because of the crappy Payflow in Australia set up, so it’s no good using those.

I can send through log files if needed.

Please advise! I am happy to extend the timeout length if that is what is needed, and if it can be done without editing core files.
