Hi,

I’m a pro user who will be using alipay as a gateway. My question is do I need to install a shopping cart if I’m selling yearly memberships?

Our company sells training hours. Our customers can buy X amount of training hours for the year. However, if a customer goes over his allotted training hours, he can then buy more. For this function, do I need a shopping cart?

I’m appreciate any type of support for this question. Thanks in advance.

s2Member can sell a yearly membership without a shopping cart.

But you’re selling access to content, and it expires when the paid time is up, not based on number of views/uses.

You could create a customization, where each view adds to a counter, and you check that counter before showing the content to the user each time. But it’s something you’d have to add yourself (or your developer).

I’ll take this as a feature request and we’ll consider it for the new s2Member we’re developing.

Hi Cristián,

Thanks for the response. I understand that we can limited access to the site. We have decided to limit access to a customer form that will allow customers to submit documents to us.

My question is, rather than limiting access to the page that has the customer form, could we allow users to see the form but limit the access to pushing the button to submit the form?

If the answer is yes, could we also customize the form to check the users available credits. If enough creates are available, then the form will submit; if not enough credits, then the form will redirect to an upgrade page?

Thanks for your support Cristian

You could customize it like that, I guess.

Here’s a hack to validate the values submitted through the form: http://www.s2member.com/forums/topic/registering-without-required-fields/#post-10707

You can see how that works, and adapt it to redirect the user based on your counter.
