Raise Protected File Size

Ok so when I am trying to upload protected files I get this text in a pop up … Add media files from your computer Upload Cancel Maximum upload file size: 8MB You are using the browser’s built-in file uploader. The WordPress uploader includes multiple file selection and drag and drop capability. Switch to the multi-file uploader. After a file has been uploaded, you can add titles and descriptions. The issue I am having it the 8MB file size … I need to know how to change this value.
