I was reading through the related topics think I’m more confused now that I was before.

Here’s what’s going on with my site. Fresh new clean install of WordPress. Install and setup to s2member. Sign up with a few test accounts. Everything is running smoothly I’m getting the proper redirect. I then installed the plug-in named “user role editor” as was suggested in a post I read by one of your form moderators. After installing and setting up the plug-in assigning the post function for the user which is s2member 0, As soon as my test user signs in they get directed to the dashboard i.e. admin.

This is my second fresh install; I want some help or might have to look for other options

Thank you,

Jeff

If the user gets that capability, then he has access to the admin area and WordPress redirects him to the Dashboard, overriding s2Member’s Login Welcome Page redirect.

Christian, thank you for your response. So what you’re saying is if I give members access to the post area there automatically going to be redirected to the domain/admin which is the dashboard. Because I did have it working in the past with s2member that members were being redirected to the welcome member’s page and on the top of that page in the toolbar was the plus sign which allow them add posts.

Is there no work around that you can think of?

Regards,

Jeff

No, I don’t know a way around this WP behavior. Maybe there is one, but I don’t know. You could ask in a WP forum about it.
