Registar/Purchase product at the same time

Here is what I’m trying to do. Create a member page for members to login to and access their purchases, receive updates, etc. Membership would be free but tied to their purchase. If a visitor has not purchased from us, I would like the registration to take place at the time of purchase on the same form. Once completed, they could then login and download their purchase.

The thing I’m having problems setting up is the correct PayPal Pro form to use. When I’m not logged in and use a checkout form, I’m told I need to login before I can purchase. I know I’m missing something simple, but I can’t seem to get this to work.

Hello Kevin,

That sounds like that pro-form you’re trying to use is a modification form/ Those only work if the user is already registered. Make sure you’re using a regular pro-form.

Problem fixed! I just needed to use the pro form for level 1 access and a custom capability. Works just like I had in mind. Thank, for pointing me in the right direction.
