Hi Guys

When someone subscribes to my website and register a username with 2 days, everything is fine.

However, when someone buys a subscription as a present for someone else and 4 days later they try to register a username, all they get is… Your Link Expired: Please contact Support if you need assistance.

As you understand, it can be frustrating for my clients and time consuming for us to communicate and arrange everything manually.

Is there a way to extend this time limit to lets say 15 days? Or, is there at least a way to send them a new and valid link that they can use to register themselves?

Hi there,

You can send a user another link for access using Dashboard -› s2Member® -› PayPal® Pro Forms -› Registration Access Links.

Hi Bruce

Thank you for the advice, I figured this out eventually.

However, this still causes more work, it would be much better if the expiration timing could be extended.

Hi Dimitrios,

I’ll put in a request for a feature for this in the future. In the meantime, I’ll ask if there’s a way to extend this another way.

Hi Dimitrios,

s2Member’s Cookies (temporary storage that is set up within the user’s browser) are all set up to last for 31556926 seconds (365 days). s2Member only checks to make sure that these cookies are correctly formatted and still valid, and does not check the time that they were created. This tells me that the problems most likely is occuring when a user clicks to sign up, and the cookie is deleted when they reach the signup page. If they proceed with the signup while they’re there, then they should be able to sign up any time within 365 days. If, however, they leave the page and try to return later they will not be able to access the page. The only way to keep this from happening is making sure users know this is the case.
