Hi everyone, I’m testing s2member for my site and having some problems.

My site offer 3 different products which are on three different subsites (I;m using wordpress multisite), addidtionally I have a couple subsites that does not sell any products at all. Open registration is not enabled for any site.

The problem I have had is,

a, Customers do not get redirected to the registration page and the link on the confirmation email does not take them to the registration page but rather to a non-existent page.

b, They get redirected to a completely different subsite

Possible solution: Can I manually add the registration url on the paypal confirmation email?
For example: http://domain.com/subsite1/login/?action=register

Thanks for taking the time to read this.

Brooke

Hello Brooke,

I’m afraid s2Member doesn’t work cross-site.

One site is different from another and s2Member doesn’t do anything to keep several websites connected and stuff like that.

So if you want to sell different products on different websites, keeping track of all the users in one place, s2Member doesn’t work for that.

Hi Eduan, thanks for the response! Yes I know that s2member does not interact with one and other when it comes to multisite, I think you misunderstood my question.

What I wanted to know is if I can manually add the registration link to the confirmation email by adding:

http://domain.com/subsite1/login/?action=register

The reason is because some people are complaining that the automaticly generated link does not work and they are not being redirected after payment.

Thanks for your time!

Ah I see. Yes you can modify the email to include this link. In fact, currently it already integrates it WordPress itself.

See under Dashboard -› s2Member® -› General Options -› Email Configuration to see how much you can configure these emails.

You can also configure more emails under Dashboard -› s2Member® -› PayPal® Options -› Signup Confirmation Email and Dashboard -› s2Member® -› PayPal® Options -› Specific Post/Page Confirmation Email.

Be aware of what email your users are referring to, so that you don’t edit the incorrect email. ;)

That’s great news, so by manually adding this url to the paypal email It will hopefully make sure that the users register at the right sub-site: http://domain.com/subsite1/wp-login.php?action=register

Thanks for the help Eduan!
