I am wondering if it is possible to have a portion of my WordPress site open to everyone without registration. I would like to have new users be able to see many of the pages of the website before they are required to register. Once the user decides they like what they see, they could then register to see the rest of the site. From my test drive of free version, it appears that registration is required upon reaching my home page. Does the paid version allow the functionality I am looking for?

Hello Dan,

That’s strange, it’s actually impossible to restrict the homepage with s2member, except using URI restrictions (Dashboard -› s2Member® -› Restriction Options -› URI Access Restrictions). Does this happen on a fresh install of WordPress and s2Member?

Well, to answer your question. Yes, you can have parts of your blog or website that are not restricted, in fact this is desirable, you just need to not protect those pages. :)
