S2 Capabilities Question…

Hi all, was recommended to check out S2, wanted to give you a quick overview of what I want to do and see if this is the software for me.

I want to create a membership site that has:
– multiple levels of membership with different content in each level
– the ability to set up drip-feeding content into each level of membership
– complete design control of the membership site (graphics, downloadable pdfs, etc.)

I also need the ability to:
– have people who purchase the membership site be able to sign up as an affiliate with me and get commissions on selling the subscription on their own
– integrate the S2 platform and payments with my existing shopping cart

What can you tell me about integrating S2 with my pre-exsiting shopping cart which already has affiliate marketing platforms built into it? I want to make it seamless so if someone buys my membership site, it will show up in my shopping cart’s orders and the person automatically gets their login info for the site.

I don’t know for sure the answer to all your questions, but I do know the answer to some of them:

This is definitely possible with s2Member, no doubt about it, you have a lot of control over it actually.

– the ability to set up drip-feeding content into each level of membership

You mean like after a certain amount of time they get some content, and then after another period of time they get another content? This is very possible with s2Member, you can check under Dashboard -› s2Member® -› API / Scripting -› Content Dripping for instructions on how to do it, you can also check this KBA for info about it:

Could you be a little more specific on this please? s2Member doesn’t let you control graphics, only content. It does let you limit certain download links and files to certain member levels.

s2Member integrates with ShareASale and iDevAffiliate, both WordPress affiliate management plugins, so you might be interested in seeing if they allow what you want. (This is one of the questions in which I’m not sure. ;) )

s2Member does not currently integrate with any shopping cart systems, if you have one, you will have to custom code it for it to work.
