I am using the free version. I have set a “Downloads” category to be restricted to only those users who are logged in. Additionally, I set the individual post level restriction as well. ( I am still in pre-release so I have a “coming soon” app on so you cannot see the page, but, I de-activated it and visited the site as a guest for testing.)

I was not able to access the “downloads category, but, the post was quite visible on the page. I am using WP 3.5.1 Thanks!
