Hi – I think the plugin is great, seems to work well on our site, however whenever you release an update it completely mucks up the membership element of our website. Bearing in mind we are a charity, and I run the website alongside the rest of my job, it may take me a day to see that the S2Member plugin needs updating – sometimes the first I hear of it is from our membership department because a prospective member has gone on and the membership area is just full of “gibberish” or code when you go and look at it. Is there any way you can keep the old version active until we update? It’s so frustrating and I know we have lost new members who give up and click away from the page.

Thanks

Thanks for reporting this important issue.

I’m not sure I understand exactly. s2Member does NOT automatically update your WordPress installation. As with all plugins in WordPress, updates are made available in your Dashboard (i.e. you are notified an update is available), but nothing results from these notifications. You must perform the update yourself.

Whenever an update is available it turns the system off on my website so all that appears on the membership pages is just lists of code. When I click on the update it rights itself but it’s happened a number of times now and it’s problematic.

Thanks for the follow-up :-)

Is it possible that you, yourself, are upgrading the s2Member® Framework only? But then leaving the Pro upgrade unfinished? Is that what’s happening? I’m sorry, I’m not sure I understand yet. Feel free to elaborate until I do. Thanks!
