We’re strongly considering buying S2Member Pro, and want to clear one important question. We have read online that if you put a video behind S2Member protection, it slows the streaming badly. We are using embedded YouTube movies. We need honest advice about whether S2member would be a good choice for us.

Also, we’re trying to test playing the embedded YouTube movies behind S2Member ourselves but having a hard time setting up the test since our site will be configured for all the users to have free (meaning, unpaid) access to the restricted materials. (We have Teacher-only materials that we want to give teachers, but not students, access to for free.) We’re not sure but we think the Free options require the S2Member Pro version, and we don’t want to purchase Pro until we know that S2Member will work with our embedded YouTube videos.

Any help much appreciated!
