s2Member/bbPress non-standard roles howto?

Hi all,

Trying the achieve the following:

Site visitors have no access to the forums.

s2Member role -> bbPress role
Level 0 -> (not in use)
Level 1 -> Spectator
Level 2 -> Participant
Level 3 -> Participant
Level 4 -> (not in use)

In bbPress I have set the standard role to Spectator -> as a result all new members receive the Spectator role upon logging in for the first time.

If I set the standard role in bbPress to Participant all new members will be Participants (including the Level 1 members).

Is there a way to achieve this without having to manually set the bbPress roles?
