Hello,

How important is it to “auto-generate” the security encryption key, and put the S2Member Verified sign on the bottom of the Secured pages?

At the moment ( maybe this is because I am using the Free version ? ) the security encryption key – won’t auto-generate. Nothing happens when I push the button.

Any thoughts?

Thanks so much.

Hey there.

If it’s not auto-generating, I’m wondering if something’s wrong with the JavaScript on your admin side. There are some themes that, for some reason, affect the admin side and cause trouble with the JS. Try changing, as a test, to the default WP theme and see if the key generator now works.

Using this key, and the other things that the security badge requires to be verified, will help your site be more secure. Even if you don’t display the badge on the front of your site, it’s good to get that badge green for an extra security and peace of mind. I hope that helps. :)
