I’m going to update wordpress (I have an very old version of wordpress at this moment) and therefor I will deactivate all my plugins.

My questions is:
Will all of the settings, membership information etc. be safe and saved when I deactivate S2member (free)?
And next: I will then update s2member (free) to the newest version. I have version 110620. Is there anything I should be aware of in this process?

Thank you

Hello Vibeke,

When upgrading s2Member/WordPress it is very suggested you make sure deactivation safeguards on.

You can find them under Dashboard -› s2Member® -› General Options -› Deactivation Safeguards.

Also, I would make sure to make a backup of your website, in case something else is lost.

Hope this helps. :)

Hi Eduan,
Thank you so much – I found the deactivation safeguard and activated it. Very helpful :)

And yes, a back up is so important.

Best regards,
Vibeke
