I have a client who is using the free version of your plug in. What is happening is a user goes to pay by paypal on the return page from paypal it gets a message that an email is being sent to them to finish the account set up. The client was under the impression that on the return from paypal it will return to a create account form. Is there a setting that I am missing?

S2Member has a very specific membership process. It is the same for all s2member sites and is explained thoroughly in the documentation of the plugin (all found in the back end of my site in the s2member area.)

Basically:

Step 1: user clicks sign up
Step 2: user redirected to PayPal where they authorize payment
Step 3: user redirected back to couple supper where they are IMMEDIATELY given opportunity to create their username and password.
Step 4: user receives email (the one you confirmed you are receiving)

Here’s my issue: for some reason Right now step 3 isn’t happening. Step 3 takes them to that page I sent you the screenshot of. There is no opportunity to register. Everyone is being forced to wait for the email. Problem is that lots of these emails are going to spam so I’m inundated with pissed off people who think they aren’t able to register. If step 3 works properly I could probably cut down 100% on the pissed off people.

Hello Bill,

This would suggest that something isn’t right with your website setup. Could you please confirm that you have the logs for these transactions? Make sure you have logging enabled under Dashboard -› s2Member® -› PayPal® Options -› Account Details -› Logging.
