Is there any way to disable the Signup Confirmation Email?

At the moment, it just causes confusion. Here’s why.

1. A customer is directed to PayPal.
2. They make their payment.
3. They are redirected back to the message page, and given a link to register. The customer clicks this to register and are then emailed a password.

Here’s the problem:

4. Customer now has two emails in their inbox. The Signup Confirmation Email and the New User Email.

Most customers try to click the link in the Signup Confirmation Email even though they’ve already registered via the link on the message page and then get confused when they’re told the link has expired, resulting in a support request.

Yet at the same time, they have the New User Email (which they typically check later) – this confuses them even more.

Therefore, is there a way to switch off the Signup Confirmation Email as it is only creating confusion since customers have already registered via the link on the message page they’re directed to after purchasing?

Thanks.
