Hi,

I’m wondering, if i buy the Single-Site License, will the plugin be locked to the specific domain, ex http://www.abc.com?
Need to run a demo for client on http://www.demo123.com first, and then move everything to http://www.abc.com. Is that possible?

Thank you in advance,
Emily

Hello Emily,

You’re correct, you can only use it on one live website at a time, but you can change the website it is affecting. Change that under Edit My Profile.

Hope this helps. :)

Hello again,

Ok, so what I write above is fully possible? Must test everything on demo-site-www before going live :)

It’s just the domain registered for my personal account, that decides where I can use the plugin, not a serial number?

Thank you.

That is correct Emily. The license is per website URL, and not serial key, the license only applies if the website is being used for selling, if it’s a test website to make sure everything works, it doesn’t count.

Another question, how does it work if I buy one single-site License for customer A now, no problems… but later next year I buy another single-site License for customer B. Does my account keep track of how many single plugins I buy and where I use them?

I see the point in unlimited-site License, but I don’t know if there will be use of it, at the moment.
Thank you again :)

Hi Emily.

As a developer, we ask that your clients get their licenses under their own name. Please see the policy here: http://www.s2member.com/prices/#s2-terms-license-types

Please note… if you’re a developer, your clients will need to purchase their own Single-Site and/or Unlimited-Site License. We will not support s2Member® Product instances on domains that you do NOT own and operate yourself. We invite all developers to join our affiliate program, and refer their clients to s2Member.com, where your clients may purchase an s2Member® Product of their own. This also gives your clients access to future releases.

I hope that helps. :)

Thank you for clearing that up. Will ask them to buy.
