My site has gone crazy since the update!

The paypal button has disappeared and a sign in or registration form appears on all pages as well as the sign up page.

The sign up page has become locked down.

Also registered members have not been able to login.

the other plugin that updated the same day as s2members was easyrotator plugin and its also having problems and i have their techs looking at it.

site is http://www.roundtownshoppers.com

Hi Darryl,

I don’t believe we’ve had any problems with other users with the new update. We’re going to keep an eye out for problems with this. From what you said here:

The paypal button has disappeared and a sign in or registration form appears on all pages as well as the sign up page.

It sounds like there is a conflict somewhere with the WordPress loop, and your theme is pulling different page data for some reason.

the other plugin that updated the same day as s2members was easyrotator plugin and its also having problems and i have their techs looking at it.

Have you tried disabling the EasyRotator plugin to see if that fixes the problem?

If disabling it fixes your problem, you may want to revert to the old version of the plugin. You should be able to get this from the EasyRotator site.

I briefly searched the source code for EasyRotator and found that it does hook into your WordPress post data within compatibility.php. However the code there looks like it’s okay, which leads me to believe it’s an issue with the shortcode the plugin produces when it’s mixed with s2Member Shortcodes.

yes i have disabled the plugin but still have the issue of members not being able to sign in and the sign in and register forms are still showing on all pages and some pages are now locked which were not before and in wordpress does not show any reason for them not to be open to the public.

forgot to mention that the paypal button is still missing as well.

Just been notified that a new member signed up through paypal and she could not get into site and no record in s2member of her signing up, have the paypal details sent through to me.

She signed up yesterday when the site started to have the problems.

Hello Darryl,

When you installed s2Member, did you also make sure to install the pro version of s2Member? Both the free version and the pro version have to be installed if you upgrade.

Hello Darryl,

What update are you talking about? s2members last update was 2 months ago unless I’m missing one.

Are you sure your not getting s2member mixed up with another plugin? As those login and registration forms are not being added by s2, but are being added by another membership plugin you have installed.

And as for the button not displaying there seems to be a parsing issue, you could try this raw html plugin http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/raw-html/ If that fails to work, you can deactivate plugins and themes to find the conflict.

Let us know how it goes :)

Thanks philly,

There was another plugin that was causing the problem, i didn’t see it as i have never used it so i deleted and those forms have gone, and the paypal button is back.
It seems to be working, will get the customers to see if they can log in again in the morning.

thanks guys for your help.
