When logged in as admin,
I have set up a specific page for securing and it is protected ok.
I have created several protected file downloads on that page and they work.
I have created a PayPal button and that works.

1. Is there a way to send a successful PayPal response directly to the protected page, instead of the home page?

2. When I am not logged in, the protected page link in the email is correct, but when I click on the file download links, I get served the purchase page (home page), not the file content. However, as a test customer, I do not have an account on my site.

Have I configured something wrong or must all protected download files be accessed via a logged in user?

If so, how can S2Member automatically create a user when a protected pages content is purchased?

Thanks.

Thanks for your great questions

You can use the success attribute to do this. Find info on this at the bottom of Dashboard -› s2Member® -› PayPal® Buttons -› Shortcode Attributes (Explained).

Because you are already selling access to this page, you can use the info provided under Dashboard -› s2Member® -› Download Options -› Advanced Download Restrictions to accomplish what you need. This way as long as the user can see the link, they can access your downloadable content.

HI, Thanks for the reply.

You can use the success attribute to do this. Find info on this at the bottom of Dashboard -› s2Member® -› PayPal® Buttons -› Shortcode Attributes (Explained).

I couldn’t see a success parameter detailed on this page. Would the format

success="http://www.domain.com/return_page"

work then?

Because you are already selling access to this page, you can use the info provided under Dashboard -› s2Member® -› Download Options -› Advanced Download Restrictions to accomplish what you need. This way as long as the user can see the link, they can access your downloadable content.

I just tested this with the shortcode:

<a href="[s2File download=&quot;download_file.pdf&quot; skip_confirmation=&quot;yes&quot; download_key=&quot;true&quot; /]">Download File</a>

Which produces the url:

http://www.domain.com/?s2member_file_download_key=xyzetc&s2member_skip_confirmation=yes&s2member_file_download=/download_file.pdf

However, even though I can view the protected page, clicking on this link just shows the home page content, even though the correct link is in the address bar. (When logged in as admin, the whole process works fine).

Cheers

Edit————————————————————
Just tested the full purchase process and it all behaved as expected..
Thanks for a great plugin. Think I will buy the Pro version.
This can be marked as resolved now.
Cheers.

OK, quick update to item 2. After some testing, I discovered that Better WordPress Security was preventing the downloads. Once I removed the setting “Filter Suspicious Query Strings”, it all worked fine.

Question 1. still stands. If you have advice on the correct use of the success parameter I would be grateful.
Thanks
