Hi,

My client has asked more about keeping the data within the Membership Area safe.

This particular site isn’t for purchasing but for information.

Is there a specific SSL type I should use and are there any problems that come with using an SSL with s2Member?

Thanks in advance.

Kins regards
Amanda

Hello Amanda,

You mean SSL in order to be able to have https in your URL?

If so, I’m not sure what kind of SSL you require, I didn’t know there were various types of it. in any case you only need SSL if you’re using s2Member pro-forms I believe, other than that I believe they’re not necessary.

Administration Over SSL

There is a great article at WordPress.org that covers this in detail.
See: http://codex.wordpress.org/Administration_Over_SSL

As for the type of SSL certificate. Any certificate signed by a trusted authority should do. Many people use GoDaddy. Please see: http://www.godaddy.com/ssl/ssl-certificates.aspx

Thanks for that!

I shall try it out.

Thanks
Amanda
