Hi Everyone –

I’m brand new to s2member.

I’m using optimize press as the membership platform.

As for now my membership site only has a free level, it is only for my team members so I’m creating accounts manually and using level 1 to keep other people out.

Initially everything was find.

Then today all of a sudden my login page is automatically redirecting to this.

membership-options-page/?_s2member_seeking[type]=page&_s2member_seeking[page]=5&_s2member_seeking[_uri]=L3RyYWluaW5nLw%3D%3D&_s2member_req[type]=level&_s2member_req[level]=1&_s2member_res[type]=page&s2member_seeking=page-5&s2member_level_req=1

That’s the code after my domain.

I then tried to redirect directly to the login page through hostgator and that didn’t work. I called them and they said the issue was here, but didn’t want to make any changes as it would screw up the plugin.

“hostgator”
It is essentially overwriting the htaccess directives for:

RewriteEngine on

RewriteCond %{HTTP_HOST} ^comf5leaders.com$ [OR]
RewriteCond %{HTTP_HOST} ^www.comf5leaders.com$
RewriteRule ^training/?$ “http://comf5leaders.com/training/wp-login.php” [R=301,L]

I’m not sure what to do at this point.

Any suggestions?

Stiz

Is it redirecting before or after login?

Are you logging in as the admin when this happens or as a user (level 1)

Hi Dave –

It’s before login.

BTW, you have some files (e-mail copy, video links, etc.) that can be easily accessed due to your main site being down…

I believe this is the link you are looking for:

http://comf5leaders.com/training/wp-login.php

It looks like you have your main page (or just all of them) protected by s2member. That is why it’s re-directing you when you just go to http://comf5leaders.com/training

Hope that helps.

Dave

EDIT: I would at least stick a blank index.php file in your main directory so people can’t access those files.

Hi Dave –

Thanks for the help.

Yeah. I realized that http://comf5leaders.com/training/wp-login.php was the login page.

Not sure how I got http://comf5leaders.com/training protected.

I don’t have a grasp on this plugin.

Your edit leads me to believe that I don’t have my content protected.

I was under the assumption that by setting the individual pages to security levels that when new members enroll. They can only access those pages if I give them that level of access?

Not quite understanding your edit.

Thanks so much.

Stefan
