Trying to work out the best system for my magazine. I produce 4 issues per year. I have three levels of subscription currently: 0 for the basic content (no payment required), Level 1 (receive 1 issue /1 qtr access) $1.99 (no access to back issues) and annual – all content and back issues $5.99. Not really sure how I can implement this. I can drip feed content to a user so that if they renew their access for another issue then they get the first one and also the next etc. Problem is a new subscriber would also get access to a back issue unless it is protected with a drip content – but then the original subscriber wouldn’t be able to see it! Any ideas much appreciated. I suppose one way to do it would be to deny access to a post older than a certain number of days to a specific level e.g. it’s not the number of days the subscriber has been a member but how old the post is – is there a way to do this? Thx. |
