Hi

(1)How do you track compliance with your license? Is it honor system?
Say I buy one site license and use the same downloaded plugin zip file on another site?

The reason I am asking is not because I want to be non-compliant – but because I want to know if – to track license compliance – your plugin needs to communicate with your site everytime a payment is made, everytime someone logs in – and if so, then what’s the frequency?

(2)Is it compatible with all web servers? Some wordpress hosting providers do not use apache – I have not been able to find server compatibility/certification information so far on your website…

Thanks!
Mark

Hi Mark.

1) No, s2Member Pro doesn’t connect to our site to check the status of the license.

2) It has been tested with Apache and Litespeed. http://www.litespeedtech.com/

I don’t remember users reporting having tried other servers yet, but it’s most probable that there won’t be trouble, unless the mod_rewrite rules are different than the ones for Apache.

We have a server check tool that can help find problems in the configuration, too. Upload it to the WP dir and open in your browser: http://www.s2member.com/r/server-check-tool/

I hope that helps. :)

Thanks. Litespeed is what I use. I will first test with your free version and then if everything works well, I will purchase the pro.
Thanks
Mark
