Hi, Great tool, but I am completely stuck.

Like you I am using the mysitemyway infocus theme. I want to attach the download link to a secured pdf document to a button from the Infocus theme.

The button is created using an infocus shortcode, eg

[button link="filename" size="small" bgColor="#788794" textColor="#FFFFFF" align="right"]Download Paper[/button]

I can of course add the file location, but its not that simple. I also need the S2 attributes of skipping confirmation and inline. See example below.

<a href="[s2File"> test piece</a>

But I am completelly foxed as to how to get the link that is referenced from the button to also take note of the instructions to skip_confirmation and load inline. Any time I include those attributed the button crashes or the attributes are ignored.

Please help

Many thanks

Phil

Hi Phil,

Like you, I am using the InFocus theme. I’m not sure what you are asking but this is how I do it.

On your download link or Download icon, you can just use – a href=”http://www.yourdomain.com/?s2member_file_download=your_file_name.zip&#8221;.

I use my own download button rather the shortcode. This works for my membership site.

Hello Phil,

As Adrian said, you can use your own download button, but if you plan to use a shortcode, then I would suggest you use an s2Member generated shortcode.

For more info check under Dashboard -› s2Member® -› Download Options.

Hope this helps. :)
