Hi.

Got a situation where I want my users to access content on a restricted level. However, I’m not implementing a “paid” site, so I need a solution that allows the user to signup/register, and modify their account to access a different level.

s2member looks like it might work, but it appears to invoke a gateway/payment processor when the user would change their ACL/Role level. Is this really the case? Can s2member be used, and not require payment?

Can someone point me to articles/code that illustrates how this can hqappen.

thanks

Hello Tomm,

You can give the user higher access by just modifying the user and giving him a higher access level. :)

Just go to edit the user’s info (in the WP admin panel) and modify his role/level to s2Member level 1. :)
