Hello,

I looked through the s2member forums and none of the four SaaS-related posts seems to answer the question I have. I’m currently building a very simple web application that allows paying users to generate reports from data pulled from a third party API and send those reports to a list of email recipients. Would s2member allow me to manage this type of user account? I’d like to be able to bill customers monthly or annually and offer a free trial period. I’ll probably settle on offering 2-3 tiers of service. Each paying customer would have their own account page under the single domain I offer the service under.

Thanks, Chris

Hi Chris.

You’d have to do some customization.

s2Member will let you give the user a different Level role or custom capability (ccap) when they purchase.

With these you can control what pages he has access to. For a personal page, you could give each user a unique ccap and protect his page with it. Or have a single page and change the content dynamically based on the user viewing it.

For your application to know what access he has, you’ll need to integrate it to WordPress and check his role or capabilities. Knowledge Base » Remote User Status (Custom API)

I hope that helps. :)

Thanks for the response. I’d like to make sure I understand the concept. When a user registers and our application generates a specific account page for that new user, for example, we could protect that page using a unique ccap. Did I get that right?

We are very sorry for the delay.

That’s correct. Assuming you use the information provided by Cristián in his above replys, this is what your end goal would be to accomplish.
