When I complete a paypal button registration I am getting redirected to an ugly grey page that tells me i am supposed to check my email (I thought email link was just a fallback procedure). I thought I was supposed to be redirected to the wordpress registration page. the instructions made this sound automatic, is there something I need to configure to make this happen. Thanks, Ed [ passac.com ] says… * Note: It can take ( up to 15 minutes ) for Email Confirmation with important details. If you don’t receive email confirmation in the next 15 minutes, please contact Support. ** Sandbox Mode ** You may NOT receive this Email in Sandbox Mode. Sandbox addresses are usually bogus (for testing). |

Hi Ed. The confirmation email is always sent, even if everything goes fine, but it is a safe net in case s2Member doesn’t hear back from PayPal immediately and so that message is given, asking the person to check for the email later, after s2Member does hear from PayPal and can proceed. Did you double check your PayPal integration? [hilite path]Dashboard -› s2Member® -› PayPal® Options[/hilite] Could you post the log entries related to this transaction, x’ing out any private info, please? [hilite path]Dashboard -› s2Member® -› PayPal® Options -› Account Details -› Logging[/hilite] Thanks! |

I am running this in sandbox mode, The transaction seems to proceed fine in paypal and I do get the email from s2member and an email in the paypal sandbox. I am also assuming this is supposed to happen when I get the “Return to Pro Seller’s Test Store” button on paypal. I then get a pop up that says: “Although this page is encrypted, the information you have entered is to be sent over an unencrypted connection and could easily be read by a third party. Are you sure you want to continue sending this information? I guess the other question is where can I access this screen, and how can i make it look presentable if it does come up. Here are the logs: PHP v5.2.17 :: WordPress® v3.3.1 :: s2Member® v120309 :: s2Member® Pro v120309 PHP v5.2.17 :: WordPress® v3.3.1 :: s2Member® v120309 :: s2Member® Pro v120309 paypal-rtn.log PHP v5.2.17 :: WordPress® v3.3.1 :: s2Member® v120309 :: s2Member® Pro v120309 |

I see. If you’re in Sandbox, then the emails won’t be sent. [hilite path]Dashboard -› s2Member® -› PayPal® Options -› Account Details[/hilite]
So if s2Member doesn’t get confirmation from Paypal right away, it can’t take the customer to the registration page, instead it has to wait so it tells the person to check for the confirmation email later, which will have the link to register, but if you’re in Sandbox that won’t arrive. Also, I’d test with live transactions rather than Sandbox, since they behave slightly differently and it’s a lot safer to get it working properly the way it’ll be for the customers. You can make the transactions really low at 1 cent, so it’s not a problem. I hope that helps. :) |

OK I may try some immaterial transactions. Funny thing is I am getting the emails. Not your issue but what good is a sandbox if it does not behave the same as the live system. |

Exactly my thought, but that’s part of PayPal’s silliness. :/ |

Hopefully doing a live transaction will make that go away but is there a way to make that response page more presentable if it does come up? Ed |

Do you mean this one?
You can have a different page to return the user to after checkout if you use the [hilite mono]success[/hilite] attribute in your button’s shortcode. [hilite path]Dashboard -› s2Member® -› PayPal® Pro Buttons -› Shortcode Attributes -> success[/hilite] |
