I am using your PayPal Pro “Free Registration Form” and if I register a user name that contains a space such as John Doe, the username that is actually registered is JohnDoe without a space. I have probably missed something, but I can’t find any information about why this is happening anywhere. Any ideas? Thanks.

Thank you for your inquiry.

WordPress does not allow spaces in Usernames. s2Member takes spaces out to keep errors from occuring. If you try to create a user in WordPress’s Dashboard, you’ll see similar behavior, but WordPress will (by default) replace spaces with dashes.

I am using WordPress 3.5.1 and have a couple of usernames that I created using the WordPress dashboard that contain spaces. I also just successfully created a new username with spaces using WordPress open registration. The only username problem I am having with my site is with the Free Registration Form.

This is a potential problem as I am sure some users will attempt to create usernames with spaces and there is no error telling them that what they entered is invalid. Thanks

Thanks for the feedback on that, Ralph. I’m forwarding it to Jason.
