I am brand new to s2Member and I haven’t purchased yet because I need to know if this is something I actually need in order to do what I am looking for. There is a glut of information here (all great I am sure), but so much I can’t find the answer to my simple question. Maybe someone here can answer it for me?

I am developing a site that will have all content available to non-registered members EXCEPT product prices. People that are certified in their field may request registration to this site, providing an image/picture proof of their certification, and they will be manually approved or disapproved. The only content to protect from public viewing is the prices of products, and there is only need for the one level of ‘membership’.

I understand s2Member will not allow images to be attached to a registration, so people will have to email their certification proof anyway, but will this software be what I need for my purposes, or is it more than I need? Because it looks like a powerful plugin, but so darn complicated … :/

Thanks for your help.

DJ

Hello DJ,

This confirmation process is not available in s2Member yet I’m afraid. However there is a simple workaround.

Have users register for free, that would be like submitting their details, and if you approve of them you can manually upgrade them to level 1. At which point they’re paid members and they products’ prices appear.

You would have to use a little bit of s2Member conditionals in order to achieve this effect. You can read about them i this article: Knowledge Base » Simple Shortcode Conditionals
