Hello Harley,

It will work if you upload it correctly through FileZilla, WordPress does not ban FTP, it simply does not offer functionality for it.

Hope this helps. :)

I suggest you check this video for that matter:
http://www.s2member.com/videos/6EC0D6ABAAC69F88/

It’s not FileZilla, but the interface is very similar.

Just follow the instructions on installation on the following link:
s2Member® » Pro » Install/Upgrade Instructions

Hope this helps. :)

Hi Harley.

No, you need FTP access to upload the s2Member Pro add-on. They don’t seem to let you add normal plugins just like that, either. http://en.support.wordpress.com/plugins/

Plugins are tools used to extend the functionality of the WordPress platform. However, they are only applicable to self-hosted blogs and web sites using the WordPress.org software. Plugins are not permitted here at WordPress.com for various security reasons.

Please refer to our article on the difference between WordPress.com and WordPress.org for further clarification.

If you require plugins, you’ll need to acquire your own hosting. You can move all your content over by following this guide or by having a Happiness Engineer do the move for you.

I hope that helps.

Oh Harley I’m very sorry!

I didn’t realize you were talking about the blog service, I thought you were talking about a normal website using WordPress.

Very sorry for the confusion I might have caused.

Sincerely,
Eduan.
