I’ve spent dozens of hours setting up and configuring S2 Member and I love it. Just before I deactivated the plugin, I was faced with two issues. The first, Free subscribers were not receiving a registration email. Troubleshooting this, the second issue appeared; I realized there is no multiple-role capability. I know in v2.9 WP changed to single roles; a WP user can only be an Editor, not and Editor and a Subscriber. S2 Member levels are added to the WP Role stack, I assume to follow the WP model, which leaves us with only one role per user. I would like to use S2 Member but need multiple-role capability. Why doesn’t S2 Member allow us to assign native WP roles to S2 Membership levels? a) too expensive to code All prompt information greatly appreciated. I’m now in the middle of looking for a completely different solution and would much rather take advantage of the time already invested in S2 Member. Thanks for your time. |
