The first problem I’m having is actually signing into the forums. I tried to sign into the member support forums using my username and password I use when logging into wordpress control panel. The S2 member log in is what comes up now that I have purchased the s2 member plug-in. Anyways when I try to log into the forum my username and password does not work on here. I thought that maybe I have to register a new username and password but all I see is the general public sign up form which I did to get here. Why doesn’t my username and password work on here?

The second question is about the plug-in itself. I’m pretty confused. I created a log-in welcome page and membership options page as instructed to do in the tutorials. I also created an additional test page which I assigned “0” for free access.

I then logged out and went to my website and clicked on the new page acting as if I was a random person logging on. I thought it was supposed to bring me to a members sign-in box or something but it didn’t. It just showed the page I created. I don’t know what I’m doing wrong. I tried watching the video tutorials but I can’t find anything that helps with this at all. How do I get a customer to log onto the site and become a member and how do I make the page only accessible through the membership site? Again I’ve clicked on everything in the dashboard that should be clicked, as far as I know, and it should be working but I must be missing something. Please help!!!

I also created an additional test page which I assigned “0″ for free access.

Where did you assign that level “0”? Did you use the box on the top right of the dashboard when you enter the content of the page or somewhere else?

Yes, it’s on the right hand side of the page where it says “Page level restrictions?”.

I wonder if it does not recognize you anyways. Did you try pretending to be a random visitor, through either a different computer or a different browser?

I did finally get it to go to the membership options page when clicking on the test page link in the menu. Now I’m still not sure of how to get the sign in box so someone can sign in. I don’t have anything in the text on the membership page. I’m guessing that if I had a paypal button on the page it would bring me to a sign in page or something but I want to have a non-paying page so people can try have free access to it.

Not sure if this is the way I’m supposed to do it but I found the log in box and the registration box which I then copied the url’s from. I then put a link on the page listing “free access click here” and “Existing member sign in” which does bring me to the forms when the links are clicked on. I’ll have to come up with some kind of cool looking button to use to attach the links to. Again not sure if this is the correct way to do it but it works anyways. Please let me know if there is a correct way to do it. Thanks!

If it works as you want, I would say you did it correctly.
Good work.
