I have a project that needs a two level account / member structure. The member target market is small orginizations with employees that would also recieve access.

Example —

user level 0 free
user level 1 membership includes 3 add-on user accounts under this account
user level 2 membership includes 5 add-on user accounts under this account

Up to maybe ten main subsciption accounts that are responsible for billing and admin privs of their account. I need options that look like this — If a member signs up at user level two they get the ability to add users to their account with a limit of five at no additional charge and do it from within the s2member user account admin. Those add-on users would inherit privs of the subscribed account. If subscribed account does not renew all associated accounts lose access. Upon a login attempt an add-on user would see sorry account not active please contact your supervisor. The main account would login to a renewal form to be able to proceed.

Real world example: Cell phone family share plan Dad has the account in his name has added the son and daughter and they have thier own logins to the account to see minutes used and even pay the bill.

Can s2member do this?

Thanks,
Brad Stine

Hi Brad,

s2Member uses the WordPress user base, which has no concept of members associated with other members. There are Administrator accounts that have privileges to create other users, however s2Member does not operate at that level: all users created with s2Member are assigned one of the s2Member Levels and those levels are based on the WordPress Subscriber role, which only has permission to view content (i.e., no access to the WordPress back-end is given).

If a member signs up at user level two they get the ability to add users to their account

That is not currently possible with s2Member.
