Good Morning,
I have a requirement, where private users will post and publish custom post types. [All post types will be private and depending on the submission form used, a different price may apply to different posts being submitted]

The user who posted the custom post type, cannot view the post he posted until he pays for it. Is this possible to do please?

Flow:
1) User chooses submission form. [ex. submission form 1 = 2€, submission form 2 = 5€]
2) User posts private post [custom type]
3) User sees the private post in his dashboard but cannot view it until he pays for it.
4) User pays for the private post and can now view the post

Is this possible to do please?

Hi Roderick,

s2Member does not support members on the administrative side: All s2Member Levels are based on the WordPress Subscriber role capabilities, which only allows viewing of content, not posting or accessing the admin side at all.

You can certainly make your own customizations to the plugin to make it work the way you like, but the features we provide and support do not include what you’re describing.

Thanks Raam,
I understand step 1 and 2 are done with other plugins, but for steps 3 and 4, is there a way to have a user pay to see his own private posts please?

Hi Roderick.

Well, points 3 and 4 are also something you have to customize. You could protect each post, by default, with a custom capability, so the user will need to purchase the custom capability to view the post after creating it. Video » s2Member (Custom Capabilities)

But, although s2Member will take care of protecting the post from those that don’t have the proper access to it, the automatic assigment of that restriction is something you need to customize.

I hope that helps.
